Lupton Earns First Career Win
MONROE, Wash. – It took just 12 races, but Dylan Lupton is a NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race winner.
The 19-year-old from Wilton, Calif., held off a fierce charge by Greg Pursley to win the NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Toyota at Evergreen Speedway on Saturday.
The close finish of .194 seconds capped off a highly competitive 150-lap event on the historic .646-mile oval in Monroe, Wash. Lupton captured the lead in the closing stages by dodging a multi-car pileup among the leaders just after a restart.

Pursley, who won at Monroe in 2011, tried to overtake Lupton after the final restart, but was forced to settle for second. He was followed by points leader Derek Thorn, who recovered from the late-race accident with Eric Holmes. Braeden Havens and Carl Harr completed the top five.
Taylor Cuzick recorded his best finish of the season with a sixth place finish. Jack Sellers, Daryl Harr, Matt Tifft and pole winner Cameron Hayley rounded out the top 10.
The race featured seven lead changes among five drivers.
The NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Toyota is slated to air on Fox Sports 1 on Sept. 8 at 9 a.m. ET.
The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West continues its swing through the Pacific Northwest with a visit to Spokane County Raceway in Airway Heights, Wash., for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 on Saturday, Aug. 24.
